The Royal Berkshire Shooting School, shooting lessons, clay pigeon shooting, gun shop, events

We are back!

After a long three months the Shooting School has reopened! Monday just gone was a wonderful day with all the team fully booked and the grounds basked in sunshine and looked picture perfect. Thank you to everybody who has patiently waited for us to reopen, your constant support and loyalty to the RBSS has been a great inspiration to us all and  we have loved seeing people back shooting.

As you will discover, as you read this newsletter, there is plenty to look forward to and lots going on with the RB. But what we have found most encouraging is the sense of determined and yet realistic optimism with which everybody is approaching the coming year. The Really Wild team have a very full diary but are releasing new Roving Dates frequently.  The team on the grounds have a plethora of shooting challenges and competitions lined up, with the Handicap Challenge, our spring series of CPSA Open Shoots, The Purdey Cup and of course, lessons and gun fittings very much available.

Elsewhere the Agency team have enjoyed a very busy start to the year. Many shoots, like many businesses, endured a torrid 2020, but they are working so hard to be ready and to host those wonderful days of sport we all love and miss so much. As ever, Gordon, thanks to his twenty four years of experience, can help you find the very best shooting whether as a full team or joining one of our Roving Days.

The next date to look forward to is April 12th … the day the Gun Room & Country Store open fully.  That is the day you can come and browse the refurbished Country Store and meet our new Country Store Manager, Louise. In the Gun Room Mikey and Alastair are on standby to show off the new guns we have in stock and the gunsmiths are ready for the belated rush of gun servicing that we urge you to have done…before  your next shoot day!

But there is more….  Already our “Lounge on the Lawn” has proved popular serving takeaway coffees and giving our clients a place and space to relax and enjoy the stunning views of the valley.  With that in mind, we have expanded and adapted our hospitality offering to ensure we remain Covid-Secure at all times but we will be able to host groups for events (whether it be clients, colleagues or friends).

So…plenty to be excited about and so many reasons to come and see us!
