Young Shots Christmas 2013
Book now for the Royal Berkshire Shooting School’s ‘Young Shots Go Really Wild’ workshop
Stuck for ideas to keep the kids entertained during Christmas holidays? On Thursday 12 December, the Royal Berkshire Shooting School is holding a ‘Young Shots Go Really Wild’ workshop for youngsters aged 10 to 18-years old.
Designed as a comprehensive introduction to fieldsports, the all-day course starts at the Pangbourne-based school where the children will receive expert instruction shooting simulated pigeon out of hides, learn how to build a pigeon hide, set up decoy patterns and correctly read wind direction. The chefs from the Pot Kiln pub will also be on hand to teach the children about preparing pigeon and rabbit for the table. Then, after tucking into a game themed lunch, they’ll be whisked off for a guided tour of the neaby Mapledurham Estate, to observe driven pheasant shooting in action. The group will also get to stand with the pickers-up and learn how to correctly dispatch game. This course is designed for all children – from complete newcomers to those that come from shooting families but want to brush up on details.
After refreshments, each attendee will receive a certificate of attendance.
Cost £150 inc VAT per attendee. Numbers are limited.
