RBSS wins Best Shooting Ground at Time Inc Shooting Industry Awards
The Royal Berkshire Shooting School (RBSS) has won the Best Shooting Ground award at the 2015 Time Inc Shooting Industry Awards held at Mercure Brandon Hall Hotel in Coventry, on Thursday 14 May.
The prestigious annual awards recognise the UK shooting industry’s achievements and innovations throughout the previous year. The Best Shooting Ground Award, which was selected via Time Inc magazine readers’ nominations, took into consideration factors such as service, atmosphere, quality of instruction, shooting layout design and customer recommendation.
The 100-acre Royal Berkshire Shooting School, which is based near Pangbourne, offers one of the most comprehensive clay shooting layouts in the UK, has eight full-time instructors and has raised over £23m for charity over its 20-year lifetime.
Will Hetherington, Editor of Shooting Gazette and one of the award judges, commented: “This year RBSS made headlines, not least for laying on the Stratstone Ultimate One competition with one of the biggest prizes in the history of clay shooting. RBSS continues to set the highest standards, with new ideas and investment coupled with a huge amount of hard work from one of the most experienced teams in the business.”
Dylan Williams, Managing Director of RBSS, added: “This fantastic award is a testament to the whole of the Royal Berkshire team from our ground managers and trappers, to our instructors and administrators and rewards their commitment, loyalty, professionalism and hard work. To win a best shooting ground award for the second time in two years is a superb accolade and I am tremendously honoured and proud of this achievement.”
