Due to an overwhelming response, the original two dates for the 2014 annual Turkey Shoots have sold out. A third date, of Tuesday 16th December, has been added, but places are filling up fast, so book now to be sure of yours!!

After morning coffee, guests will go head to head in a fun sporting competition across 10 stands followed by a ‘Turkey Flush.’ Prizes for Top Gun, Top Lady, Top Team, Most Suitably Dressed and others! To round off the day there’ll be a traditional roast turkey lunch with all the trimmings.

Tickets are VERY limited and must be booked in advance. Tickets = £99 inclusive of cartridges, clays and lunch.

The Royal Berkshire Shooting School is pleased to announce dates for its summer programme. The Royal Berkshire Young Shots Academy is hosting a series of afternoon sessions for youngsters aged 16 and under. The afternoon begins at 1:30pm with an introduction with RBSS instructors followed by tuition and a fun competition then finishing at 4:15pm. The price of the sessions cost £65 which includes gun hire, safety wear, clays, cartridges and refreshments. The following dates for the afternoon sessions are Thursday 7 August, Tuesday 12 August, Tuesday 19 August and Tuesday 26 August. To reserve a place, call Wendy on 01491 672900.

Enterprise Shoot Challenge in aid of the Peter Jones Foundation

On Wednesday 2 July, Royal Berkshire Shooting School hosted the 9th annual Enterprise Shoot Challenge in aid of the Peter Jones Foundation. There was a number of celebrities participating, including Peter Jones, Deborah Meaden and Theo Paphitis from BBC Two Dragons’ Den and British former Formula One racing driver David Coulthard. Almost 150 guests took part in the charity shoot at the award winning shooting ground in Pangbourne. After the shoot participants enjoyed a champagne lunch followed by an auction and prize giving. Over £168,000 was raised for the ‪‎Peter Jones Foundation‬, which aims to educate, encourage and support young people across the UK who are at various stages of their lives or in many different circumstances and in a variety of ways. Really Wild Clay Day at Windsor Great Park

The Royal Berkshire Shooting School was proud to have organised all the shooting for a spectacular Really Wild Clay Day yesterday at Windsor Great Park in Berkshire. in the presence of HRH Prince Edward, in aid of the Duke of Edinburgh scheme. In total, 24 teams of four shot five drives with 200 birds on each and were chauffeured around in Range Rovers around the park with thanks to Stratstone. All guests then enjoyed a three-course lunch after which the Earl of Wessex almost won a closely fought game of Heads and Tails! ‘The PJs’, captained by Paul Walsh, were the winning team who received the magnificent silver trophy. An auction of amazing lots including an Ayrton Senna Helmet and morning of shooting at The Royal Berkshire Shooting School with Olympian Peter Wilson helped to raise £100,000 for the charity’s vital work with young people We were all extremely grateful to HRH Duke of Edinburgh for allowing us to shoot at Windsor Great Park.
